Gumbet is the nearest beach resort to Bodrum which is just two kilometre away or 10 minutes on a Dolmus (local bus service). Originally there was only a beach in Gumbet but today it has grown into a thriving holiday resort for singles, couples, friends and families in its own right. Gumbet has a central main street which is full of colourful restaurants, bars and entertainment. The nightlife in both Gumbet and nearby Bodrum is considered to be among the best in Turkey with plenty of music and dancing available until the early hours of the morning.
